George Adamski

Polish-American author who claimed in November 1952 to have met a Venusian named Orthon in the California desert and photographed the being's 'scout ship'; his 1953 book Flying Saucers Have Landed became the founding text of the contactee movement. Later photographic analysis found his saucer images consistent with a modified chicken-incubator lamp and other household parts.
