US Army Reserve captain who, as pilot in command of a UH-1H Huey helicopter near Mansfield, Ohio, reported a near mid-air collision with an unidentified object on 18 October 1973; he later testified about the encounter before a United Nations Special Political Committee hearing on UFOs in November 1978.
